ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of sustainable TLEpreneurship strategies in enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of Grade 10 Prudence learners of Dangcol National High School. Specifically, it examined learners’ entrepreneurial skill levels before and after the implementation of contextualized interventions, as well as their influence on creativity, innovation, adaptability, and the challenges and opportunities encountered during implementation. The study employed an action research design utilizing both quantitative and qualitative approaches, including pre- and post-assessment of entrepreneurial skills and thematic analysis of learners’ responses.

Findings revealed that learners initially demonstrated a moderate level of entrepreneurial skills with limited practical application in business planning, financial management, and decision-making. After the implementation of the strategies, results indicated improved entrepreneurial competencies, particularly in creativity, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and adaptability to community-based entrepreneurial needs. Learners also reported increased confidence and a stronger entrepreneurial mindset. However, challenges such as limited resources, time constraints, and skills gaps were identified, alongside opportunities for skill development, real-world experience, and potential income generation. The study’s limitation includes its focus on a single group of Grade 10 learners in one school with resource and time constraints, which may affect generalizability. Its originality lies in the integration of contextualized TLE activities, TLEpreneurship Corners, and digital business portfolios as experiential learning tools. The findings imply that sustainable, context-based entrepreneurship education effectively bridges the gap between theory and practice and strengthens learners’ readiness for real-world entrepreneurial engagement.
