Teaching has long been recognized as a highly respected profession, providing educators with opportunities for personal and professional fulfillment. Previous studies have emphasized the crucial role millennial teachers play in shaping quality education, particularly in planning and delivering effective learning programs, fostering a supportive school environment, and contributing to school development. Researchers like Darling-Hammond (2006) and Hargreaves and Fullan (2012) highlighted the significance of teacher involvement in organizational planning and resource management, underscoring how these responsibilities contribute to the overall success of schools.
Further research has explored the distinct characteristics and behaviors of millennial teachers, shedding light on how their personal traits impact their professional roles. Studies by Twenge et al. (2010) and Seemiller and Grace (2016) have identified key attributes of millennial teachers, such as adaptability, technological proficiency, and collaborative tendencies. These studies concluded that millennial teachers’ resilience and openness to innovation are essential for navigating the demands of modern education, especially in the context of rapid changes brought about by technology and evolving teaching modalities.
Specific studies, such as those by Kim and Lee (2020) and Johnson (2018), delved into the psychosocial attributes of millennial teachers, noting the variability in their work performance and social interactions. These studies highlighted the need for a deeper understanding of traits like work resilience, self-efficacy, and interpersonal dynamics, which can influence task completion, collaboration, and professional growth. By identifying these factors, the researcher suggest that schools can better support millennial teachers in fulfilling their roles and addressing the challenges of the modern educational landscape, especially in the context of the Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP).
